Mabie House Hotel is the perfect setting for your 'special day'. Although Mabie House Hotel is on the outskirts of Dumfries and is within easy travelling distance from Gretna Green, many couples choose to have their wedding ceremony here as well as their reception. It is also an excellent choice for a romantic honeymoon in one of our beautifully furnished rooms or suites. Our rooms are also frequently booked by guests attending weddings elsewhere, such as nearby Comlongon Castle.

With two function rooms available and the choice of a marquees on the lawn within the private grounds of Mabie House, we can cater for up to 100 guests for a sit down meal within the hotel and up to 250 for an evening reception.

Our licence permits us to conduct wedding and civil partnership ceremonies within the hotel or on the lawns, and our gardens provide the perfect backdrop for your wedding pictures.

At Mabie House Hotel our menus are not set 'packages' as we feel each couple has different requirements. We will offer some suggestions which will help you to choose the wedding day you want. Alternatively we will put together a wedding day event to suit your budget.

Whether you would like wine for your guests by the bottle or by the glass, or drinks from the bar, we will be able to accommodate your needs.
